Hello friends 🙂 🙂
In this post, will be taking you through the Day3 and Day4 in Coorg 🙂
A start of day in such a mesmerizing location is truly a bliss, and it’s even more wonderful when the tasty breakfast is served at bed. The day 3 breakfast option was breakfast on bed, and the menus for the breakfast will be noted on previous day dinner. After the delightful and tasty breakfast we headed towards the reading longue from where we would be taken to Nature walk with a guide. We joined our guide on the nature tour, at the activities center. We were a small group of six, filled with excitement to explore the nature.
We were asked to move in a group as we were moving to the outer boundaries of the resort leading to the reserve on the other side, separated by an electrified fence that would stop elephants, deer, boar and other animals wander into the plantations cultivated. As and when we were heading to the heart of the forest the guide was quizzing us with some facts of forest which left us surprised.
We could also spot a tree called “Mathi tree” which is also called water tree by the ancestors who resided in the forest long ago. At ancient times Mathi tree used to serve as a source of water to those who used to come to forest in search of woods. This was one of the facts that I had shared with you there were many such that was explained during the activity. As we were nearing the river Kaveri, we could hear the babble of river which was very soothing to hear and when we finally reached the bank of river, which was an amazing view.
We spent time sitting and chilling in the rocks in riverside and by taking photographs. After the long walk through the woods for 2.5 hours we headed back to resort which was few meters away from the thick forest.
The afternoon time and the 7km walk made us tired and hungry, and straight after the walk we refreshed and moved to grab some lunch from peppercorn. Meanwhile our cab was waiting for us to explore Coorg. Our next place in checklist of Coorg was the Raja’s seat in Madikeri. Raja’s seat was one of the most visited tourist attraction in Madikeri. Raja’s seat is seasonal flower garden. Formerly it was favorite place of kings who used to spend their wonderful evening viewing beautiful sunset.
After absorbing the evening view, we headed to our last checklist place which was Sri Omkareshwara Temple. It was personification of ancient architecture with serenity around.
After the temple visit we planned to head back to our resort but there was something missing, which is none other than grabbing some aromatic coffee powder and homemade chocolates. How can someone miss them, therefore on the way to resort we halted in one of the well-known spice shop called “SPICES PALACE “ suggested by our cab driver. This shop had huge collection of exotic spices. How could someone miss to grab some coffee powder from the land of coffee plantation. Without much delay after the mini shopping we headed to the resort where the most delightful candle light dinner was waiting for us.
After reaching resort we refreshed and dressed for the wonderful dining “Moonlight for two” and boarded the buggy that had had come to take us till dining location. The dining really stood for its name. To be frank this dining made a special place in my memories of Coorg.
A dinner arranged was exclusively for the two of us at the Infinity Pool deck by the lake at the resort. The dining was a personalized with a choice menu prepared on the spot just for the two of us and the setting with candles, lights and sounds of nature added to the wonderful romantic dining. The set-up, hospitality and the food was worth appreciation. We winded up the dinner with a wonderful cake cutting and thanking the staffs for making it a wonderful. After dinner we headed to our room to the bed as this was the last night in Coorg and also had to pack our bags to return to the world of traffic and busy schedule.
Day4
We were all set to head back to Bangalore after our breakfast in GARNARY of Resort. Before leaving the resort, we thanked the lovely staff for the wonderful service.
We were given bottle of water, coffee beans in a jute pouch as complimentary. With this we bundled wonderful memories of Coorg for cherishing 🙂
Will be back again with new experience and memories. Until then happy blogging and keep smiling 🙂 🙂
