Hi friends 🙂 🙂 today will take you through another travel experience of White Cliff. This would sound funny, but to be frank, Seven Sisters was not in my checklist. Initially when I was residing in London, I happened to pass via Seven Sisters tube station for some reason. The name sounded so interesting that it increased my curiosity to know about the place. The moment I Googled about Seven Sisters, I was stunned with the beautiful view and was wondering why I am still at home looking for the place for hanging around. I just made my mind to visit the place along with my friends. Since I was pretty new to UK, I didn’t realize that Sussex is a place which would be far from London nor did I check how to reach, as I have already seen the tube station in London.
But on enquiring, I understood that Seven Sisters is a small town and not a tourist attraction. Therefore on a detailed research about the place and its reach about, came to know that, Seven Sisters is a series of chalk cliffs by the English Channel, located in Brighton. The weather and the distance didn’t stop us from going.
We took a train from London Victoria Station to Brighton. The journey took around 1.5 hours. From Brighton we made our way straight to the bus stop. We can take 12, 12A or 13X from Churchill Square. The bus took around one hour to reach Seven Sisters country park. The ticket taken from information counter cost £4.50 which was much cheaper to the tickets given in buses, with which we can travel a whole day in Brighton.
It was greenery everywhere. Though we couldn’t make it to Brighton Pier, we could enjoy its view from bus. After reaching, we first targeted the beach side. As the weather was pretty windy and cold, we were unable to go along the water side of the beach. But still managed to stand by and capture the stunning beauty of the beach and the peaceful feel where only the music of nature is played.
The beach was gentle beneath my bare feet. The pebbles that were scattered along the beach added to the beauty of the beach.
We hiked from the visitor center up to the cliff. Going up the cliff was quite tiring but the chalky white cliffs, blue sea, green bushes and few scattered farms just gave a feel of supreme bliss due to which the tiredness was not sensed. After reaching top of the cliff it was no less than a feeling of an accomplishment.
After taking a few pictures we started getting down the cliff. While getting down it was so windy that we never had to put an effort to get down as the winds were no less than the helping hands. The steepness and the windy weather were not recognized while climbing up or getting down due to the spectacular beauty of the cliff and view of beach side. Finally it’s time to sign off from the Seven Sisters country park with the beautiful moments captured.
See you soon with new Bundle of Smiles 🙂 🙂
