Here I start my Day 2 with a wake up view of wonderful mountainous scenic beauty from my room. After having breakfast, headed to explore the wonderful Wales. We started with Dolbardn castle.

Dolbadarn Castle is free to visit and it is a short climb from a car park at the southern end of Llanberis. Only the lowest foundations of the castle’s outer buildings still stand.

Information: Dolbadarn Castle is a fortification built by the Welsh prince Llywelyn the Great during the early 13th century, at the base of the Llanberis Pass, in North Wales.

It was a beautiful walk to Castle that explores the hillside to the south of Llanberis. We had to cross a large slate footbridge over the river and follow a winding track up through the woods to the castle. Finally when I was right in front of the castle, had no words to express. According to me the view just seemed to be a wonderful castle placed in the bed of nature’s beauty. The silence and the greenery enhanced the beauty of the scene.

Initially the plan was just to spend 30min, but we tend to spend approximately an hour without doing anything but just enjoying the nature at its best. As we were more excited to explore Wales, we decided to use a different direction to reach roads which led us through a forest which was no less than hiking, which we enjoyed it to the core. We had the most dramatic scenery in Wales on these longer walks. Since we were so into enjoying the scenery, our eyes just caught a sign board which directs to Ceunant Mawr water fall. Without giving a second thought our foot step followed our mind. The journey towards waterfall was not as simple as expected because we had to walk up to the waterfalls. Though we had a distant view of milky white waterfall, it was amazing view. At its widest point, it was surging and plunging down the mountains.

The timing that we reached was so perfect that we could see the Snowdon mountain rail passing in front of us. With this we have striked out the last item in the checklist.

We were all set to travel back to the Bangor station with a bunch of etched memories.

Will be back again with bundle of experiences 🙂

Happy Blogging 🙂 🙂
