I am a kind of a person who love exploring the beauty of nature at its best. According to me flowers are the crowns of nature that add colors of prettiness. One such place that I found was Lavender farm, situated in the lovely North Surrey Hills – less than 15 miles from Central London.

I have seen various flower farms or gardens in movies, which makes me curious to discover such place, and on a lazy weekend, craziness was on its peak to explore.  I Googled lavender gardens nearby London, and to my surprise, I found the Mayfield Lavender farm in Banstead, which is approximately an hour away from London and the distance really left me surprised.

We boarded the over ground train from London Bridge to Purley station which took about 32 mins. From Purely Station to garden we traveled via bus to farm. The 21 mins travel to lovely Lavender farm was not too boring as Purley is a small but beautiful town away from the crowd of London.

The view of Lavender farm from the bus blew my mind before even we reach the destination. The farm was maintained in an organized way. The wooden shelter between the farm, and the benches, under trees just made the view incredible. We had a walk around the Lavender farm and took lots of beautiful photographs as well. As mentioned in the beginning I always get a little crazy over /scenic places and this is no doubt, one of them. They also conduct the photography and video competition every year.

There is a cafe, where you can grab a quick lunch with ice-creams and many other food items, or you can refresh yourself with a bottle of lavender lemonade and chill on the benches near the food tents. You can find a wide range of lavender products like Bath & Body, Home Fragnancing, Organic oil, gift set with lavender products etc.

Time just flew away and we didn’t recognize that it was almost 5:30 PM, the closing time of farm. It was just not a good idea to return empty handed, after being to the organic lavender farm. So we just grabbed the Lavender Home fragrance and returned our nests with lovely lavender memories.
